- J ust this side of heaven is a place
called Rainbow Bridge.
When an animal dies that has been especially close to
that pet goes to Rainbow Bridge.
There are meadows and hills for all our special friends
so they can run and play together.
There is plenty of food, water and sunshine.
Our friends are warm and comfortable.
ll the animals who have
been ill and were old
have been restored to health and vigor; those who were
hurt or maimed
are made whole and strong again, just as we remember them
dreams of days gone by.
The animals are happy except for one small thing;
they each miss someone very special to them, who has been
They all run and play together, but the day comes when
stops and looks into the distance.
His bright eyes are intent. Suddenly he begins to run
from the group,
his legs carrying him faster and faster.
Y ou have been spotted
and when you and your special friend meet,
you cling together in joyous reunion, never to be parted
The happy kisses rain upon your face,
your hands again caress the beloved head,
and you look once more into the trusting eyes of your
pet, so long gone
from your life, but never absent from your heart. . .
You then cross Rainbow Bridge together.

Here is who I'm waiting to be with
Jetsun was our second Tibetan Terrier,
one of "the Little People".
He went to the bridge on
October 18, 2006 at 13.35 GMT+1.
He came to us when he was 8 weeks old and he was such a lovely
litle puppy. He lived only 1 year and 10 months and he was the
most wonderful and compassionate friend and companion a human
being could want.
Without a doubt he was the most
funny and frisky,
warm and sweet dog, we ever had. He always displayed a sweet loving disposition, and viewed all
other animals and humans as potential friends and received
blessings from many, including important Lamas.
Jetsun you will always be in our hearts. May you travel further
towards Buddhahood and reach Enlightenment.

As the Irish say
May the road rise to
May the wind be always at your back
And until we meet again
May the Buddha hold you in the hollow of his hand.
